Manufactory

The most important goal was to be able to refurbish damp and salt-laden components, historic buildings, stone and mixed masonry, earth-touched cellars, former stables – masonry of all kinds – in a simple yet efficient way, cost-effectively and for a long time.

At that time, the original form of our damp wall plaster, which makes use of the physical basis of moisture movement, diffusion, surface enlargement and evaporation, developed out of this idea.

The interplay between hydrophilic ability, the enormous increase of the evaporation surface and the conversion of water into water vapor creates a diffusion scheme that is unique. In this way damage due to capillary moisture, hygroscopic moisture and condensation can be combated equally.

A still general scheme to counteract the natural physical flow in masonry shows almost daily how more damage occurs and at the same time costs are exploding

Moist and salt-loaded building elements destroy the building substance slowly but permanently, as well as stored inventory, equipment and furniture. They are breeding grounds for harmful molds and bacteria that endanger your health. Damp walls are cold and possess little insulating power, thus leading to unnecessarily high heating costs.

Damp and salt-loaded walls are closely connected with damage to walls. The barely noticeable dampness and the associated salt-loading are the result of long-term exposure to ground moisture or cracks and poorly sealed joints and threaten the structural integrity of affected buildings. Moisture is transported to the inside and the contained salts move upward in the walls. Sealing the outside surfaces with sealing renders, tiles and the likes simply moves the salt-loaded region upward.
